Boston Pharmaceuticals is Hiring a Project Manager Near Cambridge, MA

Project Manager Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and goal-oriented individual to join our Program Management team. As a Project Manager at Boston Pharmaceuticals, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting efforts to develop new products, maximizing the value of the pipeline, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background, experience developing drugs in more than one therapeutic area, and will leverage that experience to play a key role on drug development program teams, helping to translate scientific ideas into new medicines for patients. This role is highly cross-functional and will report to the Vice President, Program and Portfolio Management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Project Manager for cross-functional drug development program teams that include representatives from clinical, nonclinical, regulatory, and CMC.
  • Leverage input from all critical functions to create and maintain operational and integrated strategic development plans that define goals, timelines, milestones, decision points, critical path, risks, assumptions, alternative scenarios, and budgets.
  • Mobilize and align program teams, including driving decision-making in governance settings, to implement the development strategy.
  • Foster strong relationships with team members and functional leaders and serve as key point person for program team members on program-related communication, issue identification, and management.
  • Foster a team culture of ownership, continuous evaluation, and improvement.
  • Effectively communicate with and present or report to senior management on program operational plans and progress.
  • Contribute expertise to the development and implementation of program management best practices to help further the needs of the business.

Experience and Background:

  • Degree in life sciences; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Five or more years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, including at least three years in a program management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of principles and practices of program and portfolio management
  • An understanding of the drug development process and working knowledge of the essential activities for all key functional areas.
  • Experience across drug development stages from development candidate evaluation to late-stage development.
  • Experience in more than one therapeutic area preferred, experience in metabolic and oncology disease a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team including external development partners, and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and facilitation.
  • Ability to work independently and with flexibility to handle workflow in a fast-paced environment.
